1. Each projects begins with a work site (or studio) visit to discuss the overall scope, desired outcomes, design direction, and budget range. We need an agreement in principal at this stage, since a proper drawing and/or quotation can take a day or more to produce.

  2. If required, an initial design drawing is produced and discussed to confirm that we are heading in the right direction.

  3. The work is then quoted in such a way to allow for immediate additions / subtractions / choices. All the costing details are clearly indicated, often with options for higher or lower cost of component parts. How much will we save by eliminating those 3 drawers? How much is allowed for lighting and lacquering? The document tells all, easily and clearly.

  4. Once the details are decided, work can proceed. A 40% deposit will generally be required for major pieces. We have excellent references.

  5. All clients are welcome to visit the studio at any time to see work in progress. If this isn’t feasible, photographs can be emailed and discussed as often as required, or desired.

  6. For larger work, progress payments may be required, but this is always pre-arranged before the work starts.
